Maple Glazed Carrots
I make this recipe almost every Thanksgiving and Christmas. It is easy to make, and once it is done, it can be left on the stove on keep warm until the rest of dinner is ready.
Ingredients
16 ounces baby carrots2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1/2 cup maple syrup
Directions
Place carrots in microwave safe dish and cover with water. Cook on high, covered, for 10 minutes.
In a large saute pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar and maple syrup. Mix well and cook on medium-low heat for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Add carrots to saute pan. Mix until carrots are completely coated with maple syrup sauce. Cook on medium-low heat for 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.
