Hamburg and Veggie Soup
My husband sent a recipe that he found online for a soup similar to this. I changed it up by adding more veggies, adding beef broth, and using a crockpot. You can use any ground meat and your favorite veggies.
Ingredients
1 pound lean ground beef
1 sweet onion, cut into bite size pieces
1 cup sliced carrots
8 ounces frozen corn
8 ounces frozen cut green beans
28 ounces diced tomatoes
6 cups beef broth
1 cup elbow macaroni, uncooked
Directions
In a large sauce pan, over medium heat, Add ground beef and cook, breaking up with a spoon until browned and crumbled. Cool for 15 minutes.
Place hamburg, onions, carrots, corn, grean beans, tomatoes, and beef broth in a crockpot. Stir. Cook on low for 5 - 6 hours.
Switch setting to high. Add macaroni to crockpot. Stir. Cook for 30 minutes.
