Skillet Lasagna
Ingredients
1 onion, chopped
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1 pound ground beef
14 1/2 ounces fire roasted diced tomatoes
15 ounces tomato sauce
1 tablespoon italian seasoning
2 cups water
8 ounces faralle, uncooked
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
16 ounces ricotta cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
In a large saucepan, over medium heat, add onion, garlic, and ground bee. Cook for 10 minutes, breaking meat up with a spoon, until meat is cooked and crumbled.
Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, italian seasoning, and water to pan. Stir. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
Add farfalle to pan. Mix well. Cook, covered, for 20 minutes, stirring after 10 minutes. Reduce heat to low, remove cover, and cook for 5 minutes.
Remove half of the contents of the pan and place in a bowl. Spread remianing ingredients evenly in the bottom of the pan. Spread ricotta cheese over the contents of the pan. Spread the contents of the bowl over the ricotta cheese. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top. Cover and cook for 5 minutes until the cheese is melted.
