Italian Sausage and Pepper Pasta
Sausage and peppers has always been a family favorite. One day when I made sausage and peppers for dinner, I didn't realize I was out of rolls for sandwiches, so I made it into a pasta dish. Now I have another new family favorite.
Ingredients
1 pound penne, cooked
1 pound ground Italian sausage
1 small sweet onion, chopped
2 red peppers, cut into bite size pieces
15 1/2 ounces fire roasted diced tomatoes
15 ounce jar alfredo sauce
12 ounces milk
Directions
In a 5 quart sauce pan, over medium heat add Italian sausage, onions, and peppers. Cook for 10 - 15 minutes, stirring frequently, breaking meat up with a spoon, until meat is browned and peppers are soft.
Add diced tomatoes to pan. Mix well. Reduce heat to medium low and cook for 10 minutes.
Add alfredo sauce and milk to pan. Mix well. Cook for 5 minutes.
Add pasta to pan. Mix until pasta is completely coated with sauce. Cook for 10 minutes
