Italian Layer Dip
I would always make a Mexican layer dip and everyone loved it. One day I decided to something a little different and created an Italian version of the recipe. I thought about which ingredients to use and came up with this to keep it simple.
Ingredients
16 ounces cream cheese
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon granulated garlic
1 cup chopped pepperoni
1 red pepper, chopped
3 plum tomatoes, seeds removed and chopped
1 cup chopped olives
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
In a medium bowl mix cream cheese, Italian seasoning, and granulated garlic. Spread cream cheese mixture in the bottom of a round 9 or 10 inch dish.
Sprinkle pepperoni and red pepper on top of cream cheese. Sprinkle plum tomotoes on top of pepperoni and green pepper. Sprinkle olives on top of tomatoes.
In a medium bowl, mix mozzarella and cheddar cheese. Sprinkle cheese on top of tomatoes.
Serve with tortilla chips.
