Cheesy Sausage and Bean Dip
This recipe is so easy to make. It is spicy, cheesy, and loaded with flavor. You can control the level on heat by using either mild, medium, or hot salsa. Sweet Italian sausage can also be substituted for the hot sausage.
Ingredients
1 pound ground hot Italian sausage24 ounces salsa
15 1/2 ounces black beans, rinsed and drained8 ounces Velveeta
Directions
In a medium saucepan, cook the ground sausage over medium-high heat, breaking it up with a spoon until browned and crumbled.
Add salsa and black beans to ground sausage. Mix well. Cook on low heat for 10 minutes.
Cut Velveeta into cubes and add to sausage mixture. Cook on medium-low heat, stirring frequently, until cheese is melted.
Serve with tortilla chips.
