Apple Cranberry Dip
This is one of my Thanksgiving recipes that I created because I thought the kids would enjoy it. It is a little sweet and is served with graham crackers or vanilla wafers.
Ingredients
5 McIntosh apples, peeled and cored
2 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoons apple pie spice
3 tablespoons water
16 ounces light cream cheese
5 ounces dried cranberries
Directions
Cut apples into chunks. In a medium pan, over medium high heat, add apples, sugar, apple pie spice, and water. Cook for 15 - 20 minutes, stirring frequently. This should have the consistency of chunky apple sauce. Refrigerate for at least one hour.
Let cream cheese come to room temperature.
Place apple sauce, cream cheese, and dried cranberries in a large bowl. Mix well. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
Serve with crackers.
